Q. Shawn, how would you describe your first experience with affiliate marketing

A. It was in 1997. I had to make a dial-up account on AOL, a 14.4 modem and
desire more money. At the time I did not know a thing
on website creation, marketing, etc. But I went through a tutorial on AOL to
writing HTML, and raised the basics. Then I have a hideous,
single page of New York City and put up some Amazon links. I have never earned a cent
on this site.

Q. What do you have growing pains to endure first?
What were the biggest obstacles and challenges of this time?

A. There was a monopoly on registration of the domain, and it cost
a year. At the time, that was a bit prohibitive for me (I did not realize

We also have events in Miami (July 8 to 10 ) and London planned (September
