I’m finding it impossible to get approval for a student loan because I previously declared bankruptcy. I can easily get approved for a car loan, but not for my education. Anyone with ideas or information about this situation please respond. I have to pay for nursing school by August 1st!

I heard FHA loans can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks to approve. If our option period is 10 days from today, and we get rejected for our loan 15 days from now, what happens? Do we just lose our earnest money and that’s it? Or is it a more serious problem, as we’ve already made an offer because we were preapproved?

I am thinking of getting a particular credit card to use on a purchase due to the fact it offers money off the purchase. I know this isn’t a great idea, so I’m still thinking about it, but my concern is with my credit. My credit is fairly good right now and I’m wondering if I get the card and cancel it shorty after, how long does it take to build the credit I lost from getting & cancelling the card, back to normal? If it’s just a few points, does that take weeks/months? Thanks.

My husband and I did a short sale on our home 15 months ago on an FHA loan, because we were stationed over seas for three years it became to hard to hold onto the home. We would like to purchase another home using my husbands VA benefits now that we will be stationed stateside again. How long do we have to wait to use the VA loan?

Everything seems fine. House appraised good the inspection went well and the loan company has everything they need and have approved the loan. But sometimes I hear loans fail to be funded at the close of escrow. What can cause this and how likely is it?
