Under Loans
I have good/poor credit and most of the loan sites I’ve tried deny my loan application. I’m looking for any suggestions anyone might have.
I have roughly $2,000 in credit card debt that I am looking to consolidate. Thank you.

Under Credit
I live in the State of Georgia and am being sued over an old credit card that I defaulted on. It has been more than 4 years but less than 6 years since the date of default, so depending on whether credit card debt is considered an open account or a written contract in the State of Georgia, the Statute of Limitations may or may not apply. The Staute of Limitations is 4 years for open accounts and 6 years for written contracts. Does anyone know for certain which type applies for credit card debt in Georgia? The account is with Citibank MasterCard and was opened in the late 80′s or early 90′s. Thanks.

I am 105K in debt(mortgage, student loan, car and the unsecured loan) and lost my former job due to lack of work. I got a new job but I am out 15K/yr. Through much juggling, I am paying off everyone except the unsecured loan on which I am paying 30/month(they want 260/mth) and they are unhappy I am paying them so little and threatening to sue me. I am trying to sell the house to pay off the mortgage and the personal loan and this is still at the original lender level. I am hoping I will get to work with a collections agency first since I can offer them the 30 I am now paying the creditor and when I sell the house I can pay the bill in full and have the credit bureau remove the blotch from my credit by showing evidence of payment. Do they go to collections or sue first? If they do sue, will they garnish my wages or freeze my checking account(no savings) or both? How does the debt collection process work on an unsecured loan?

Under Mortgage
Given all the worries about credit in this country, and subprime mortgages, I was curious as to what the entire amount of home mortgage debt is. There are about 110 million households in the country, with 70% of them owned residences. Let’s say there are 75 million owned homes. Not all have mortgages, but if 70 million do, and the average mortgage amount on such homes is $200,000, that comes out to a scary $14 TRILLION of mortgage debt in the USA. If just 2% default, the amount of bad home loans is $280 billion. It could obviously be much higher.
Does anyone know what total mortgage debt is per household and in total? This is a real problem that could damage the economy.
