My husband and I have been planning to open a home based business for just over a year. Our plans are to open it by the end of 2008. My main concerns are taxes. We can not foresee our profits, but we are expecting under $50,000 for the first year. It will just be my husband and I (no employees). What taxes will we have to pay?
We will have a separate building on our property which the business will be primarily run out of, can we use this for any deductions? I am looking for any information that will help us to get the business started and have everything run smoothly. Any help would be appreciated, the more detailed the better.

Would anybody know how willing Country Wide is to participate in the President’s loan modification program, we tried it at the beginning of the year and found a really arrogant and and indifferent company policy in regards to struggling home owners. Should we hire one of those companies that do it for you for around two to three thousand dollars?
Help please!

Years ago I quit my job to be a housewife. And no my little daughter was 7 years old, and I have plenty of time, but not enough to work for a full time job. I am considering doing some home business. It will be fun and also I control the time completely. I was considering maybe ladies handbags or clothing will do. Any good suggestions of products and suppliers for home business maker? Thanks in advance.

There is so much information online telling people how to start and operate a successful internet business. Yet, between 95% – 98% prospects still do not seem to get it rigtht. The result is consistent home business venture failure for the masses. Why such a high percentage of failing? Some, or probably, most newcomer to the internet really, really try hard to implement what the numerous guides and manuals tell them to do. Still, massive, helpless, hopeless failing persist. What can an internet newbie do to ensure his or her success at a work at home business?

I find it very hard to work with my wife on a little business project we have. She takes it too seriously, and just won’t lighten up. Then if I don’t support her, she attacks me or uses it to say our marriage is poor – seperate issue in my mind. I just feel if we are not on the same page, how can the business grow? We both work full time and must make time for our home life and personal interests, but she is set on having a shop even though we do not have the money. My question is – is it better to not work together if it puts too big a strain on the marriage? Will she accept it if I say I have had enough of the backbiting and belittling? Or…how can I make this work?

I am starting up a newsletter business in home and I know I would like to target small business and churches. Is it better to send them a sell letter first or an advertisment flier or would it be more affective with in person stop?

Like lets say that I advertise my servic ein the newspaper and I informed the public that i can repair computers. Advertsisnf fees are pretty expensive and No one might not call me. So I am quite concerned about the risk involved. Have you had any past experiences like this and did your home business attract customers?

My husband, myself and our kids, are living with his parents, for the past six months. We both have very poor credit and are in desparate need of our own place. We now can afford our own place but cannot get a loan to purchase one. We have down payment in hand, and the monthly income to afford everything, but we are still without a home! Can someone please help with an idea of how to get a $6500.00 loan?
